We are a queer couple thinking of purchasing a home in Wilmington NC and moving to this beautiful city. Our reservation in moving is our present neighbors are very friendly and accepting of our lifestyle as we are of theirs. It's just no large deal one way or another. Is Wilmington NC pretty much similar to this?
Thank you.

Come live next to us , we are gay friendly!

While I am not gay I have always understood that in Wilmington [ proper]
you won't have any side looks or problems. Should you buy 30 miles outside
of town it might be another story.
I firmly accept that it is no big deal anywhere around here , my BIL is gay and our gay friends visits often and have never felt uncomfortable. Kind of challenging for a straight person to gauge though.
Superb luck with finding a new home.
