Miami Beach Pride Parade

Every year, the University of Miami takes a contingency to the Miami Beach Self-acceptance Parade. For Pride, the length of Ocean Operate along the Art Deco district is closed to traffic and open extensive to proud South Florida LGBTQ families, friends, co-workers and allies &#; along with Pride sponsor organizations, groups and businesses.

Our purpose is to have a unified showing from the U, complete with students, faculty, staff, alumni, family, and friends. Note that while all UM students are invited to appear the event for free, all non-students pay $20 (i.e. family members, friends, alumni, staff, & faculty). Registration includes bus transportation to and from Miami Beach Pride, the Alumni and Friends Breakfast and event on Miami Beach, an exclusive UPride t-shirt, and a spot walking in the parade with the UM contingency! Each individual attending Pride must complete a separate registration form.

Nowhere is the spirit of Pride and enthusiasm more apparent than during the extraordinary, FREE 2-day Miami Beach Pride Festival in Lummus Park and the Miami Beach Pride Celebration along Ocean Drive. Attendees can enjoy live performances from world-class DJs, musicians, celebrity entertainers and local artists across three stages. The festival also includes interactive activations such as the “Seniors Lounge”, “Garden of Eve” Women’s tent, the “Trans Pavilion” celebrating our non-binary, transgender people and the Lawn at the Calming Pavilion, a low-sensory spatial environment for people with Autism, anxiety or disabilities.

It’s the happiest time of year: Miami Beach Pride is help for , marking 15 years of one of South Beach’s most colorful and inclusive annual celebrations. Since its inception in , the Miami Beach Pride Festival and Parade has grown from a neighborhood gathering of 15, to a multiday international extravaganza drawing more than , attendees.
