Matching attire is a classic, timeless selection that many grooms love. On your big day, you and your partner can both wear the same attire in the same color, like white or black tuxedos. The coordinated outfits can represent your unity and equality, showing how strong your bond and love are. This option is a win-win: it will make you fit together perfectly and not worry that your attire will look awful together in wedding photos.
From Uppermost to Bottom: For the women in the wedding party, I think it will look more cohesive if you elect one color, but what if you let all of the women pick their own dress? That way, absolutely no one is a perfect pair and it doesnt look so torn in all of the photos. For example, having all of the ladies select long, inky or navy dresses could look quite elegant. Or, if you like something a little more avant garde and contemporary, you could have them each select a prolonged metallic toned dress. Something like this might look lovely: Edited to add a dark tie tuxedo photo. I would accomplish just this, but with a cummerbund to get rid of that unsightly V below his navel: @robertwun, @alexandermcqueen Finding the perfect attire for a same-sex wedding can be super exciting but also a little bit challenging and overwhelming. Up until recently, good suits were not made for people with curves. And definitely not LGBTQ+ wedding suitestailored, amazing suits you could feel like a rock star in. Even back before I was planning a wedding, I remember having such a hard time finding off the rack button up shirts, suit jackets or pants that fit the way I wanted them to. I didn’t even want to wear suits all the time, but I wanted a nice professional one to wear to interviews and function. And it was a pain! The jacket sleeves were too short. I couldn’t lift my arms above my head. The pants were too long and too wide. The pants were too high waisted. My boobs were too big and the shirt stretched in all the wrong places. C’mon, why was it so hard to find a suit that I loved that loved my body as well!? Even 10 years ago when I was planning my wedding I remember teaching that there was ONE store in the San Francisco Bay area that specialized in suits and button downs for the LGBTQ+ community. ONE. C’mon. These days I’m so elated that the wants and needs of our collective have been heard!
